I've been on a serious Hip-Hop binge all week. I guess having dinner with a bunch of emcees will do that to you. During my newfound burst of hip-hop appreciation I discovered a mesmerizing love song by emcee, Jean Grae, called "Love Thirst." Produced by the legendary 9th Wonder the track is a mish mash of heavy bass drums, sparkling harp plucks and smooth violin runs. While the beat itself is atypical for such a soft topic, Jean balances its heavy feel with her earnest desire for her lover's embrace, spitting lines like, "My caramel, mahogany fairytale / You gon' do very well / I'm fearing for the farewell / Stay a while." It's like a b-girl's dream...or in my case a b-boy's (A King with a King).

Lady GaGa's Beautiful & Dirty Love Game w/ Vogue Japan
For this month's issue of Vogue Hommes Japan Lady GaGa gets in front of the lens of photographer, Noboyushi Araki, for the wildly colorful, edgy and most of all, DIRTY editorial, "New Star." I love the bondage concept by stylist, Shun Watanabe, which is also the theme for most of the issue. It's beautiful. It's dirty. It's RICH. Let's play....
"I want to kiss you / But If I do then I might miss you, baby"
"Daddy I'm so sorry / I'm s-s-sorry yeah"
"Don't think too much just bust that STICK / I wanna take a ride on your disco stick"
"You've indicated your interest / I'm educated in sex, yes / And now I want it bad, want it bad"
"I can see you staring there / from across the block / with a smile on your mouth and your hand on your... ;-]"
Bang ! Bang! Baby!

DMX + Aaliyah = Hip-Hop & R&B Perfection
Some may not realize it but DMX and Aaliyah's "Back In One Piece" was one of the finest blends of Hip-Hop and R&B ever. Watching them on stage and in video you see the comfort and ease with which they perform together. They compliment each other both in music and in persona. His raw street gruff with her sweet yet street style melds together perfectly in this urban love tale of both the heart and the hood.
They were Bonnie & Clyde or maybe Beauty & The Beast...with a twist. Their love was rough and funky and that's what makes me come back to this song time and time again.

D&G gets SEXY and SUPER (Modeled)
Earlier this week D&G debuted several commercials for their new fragrances 18 LA LUNE, 10 LA ROUE DE LA FORTUNE, 6 L'AMOREUX, 3 L'IMPERATRICE and 1 LE BATELEUR. I have no idea what the fragrances smell like but the models are PERFECTION. 80's/90's Supermodels Eva Herzigova, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell are still stunners and HOT male models Noah Mills and Tyson Ballou are just the EPITOME of SEXY. Making the commercials even more dope is the fact that the designers used George Michaels' classic supermodel anthem "Freedom '90" as the backing music for the commercials. YAES! Get into the commercials below.
Noah Mills is just...utterly sexy...his lips & eyes are so...I'm moist.
To see the rest of the commercials check out Dolce & Gabbana's YouTube page here.

The Berger Syndrome - Avoid Being The Bad Guy/Asshole
Awkward phone conversations. Gmails. Tweets. Going AWOL. Facebook relationship status changes...and post-it notes. Is it just me or does it seem like no one gives a respectable break-up these days? A friend and I think it's pretty much become (or rather, always has been) the norm. When it comes to break-ups everybody seems to be getting Berger'd. But really, is it too much to ask for a guy/girl to be brave and tell someone face to face that they no longer want to be in a relationship? I honestly don't think it is.
Thoughtfullness...Decency...Honor. It REALLY is that simple, people...Aside from the raw emotions and heartbreak, that is.
