A Late Xmas Gift From The Cool Kids

Mid-West hip-hop duo, The Cool Kids, have released new behind the scenes videos of their recording sessions with heavyweight hip-hop producer, Don Cannon, as they worked together to create songs for their latest project, the Merry Christmas FreEP. Pay close attention to the first video, "Tires", as Chuck Inglish gets hilariously candid about his ideas on creative expression and hip-hop fans taste or lack there of.

Medino Green - Stay Up

Like any artist Queens emcee, Medino Green, aims to please and on the jazzy record "Stay Up" it's clear that this emcee is intent on impressing his fans, both on wax and in the bedroom...hypothetically speaking, that is. Over a jazz inspired hip-hop track filled lush keyboards, heavy bass plucks and gentle saxophone lilts, Medino paints an illustrious tale of a romantic evening with a female lover.

Interestingly though, Medino strays from the normal sex tale and gives the story a surprising twist as he skillfully reveals his secret ingredient for a night of sexual passion; Viagra, "The mood is so right and the night is so proper / But she don't know ya boy is a jimmy pill popper."

Sexually, Medino Green is clearly determined (and prepared) to get the job done and musically, he's created a witty and sexy record to satisfy any of his fans musical ears.

Givenchy SS 2010 Campaign (Full)

A few weeks ago Givenchy released images from their upcoming Spring/Summer campaign, shot by famed photographers, Mert & Marcus. At first glance I wasn't entirely impressed. The simple naval inspired suits are lackluster and the inconsistent model casting throws the campaign off (Does Natalia Vodianova REALLY fit Givenchy's dark and edgy aesthetic?). However, Givenchy's livelier styles still make this campaign worthwhile. The simple striped jackets, goth inspired fashions and white, black and gold trim prints electrify the images and the male models (Simon Nessman, Emil Dostovic and Eduardo Calero) and Mariacarla Boscono give the campaign a sexy edge. It doesn't compare to last seasons campaign triumph but it is a satisfying effort, none the less.

Van Hunt - Being A Girl (Live)

I could try to be as lyrically witty as Van Hunt (I've tried). I could wait until the words just came to me like a letter from serendipity herself (again, I've tried). Or I could try to somehow rewrite his words into something as equally potent and precise (Once again, I've tried). But ultimately I would fail. Van Hunt's "Being A Girl" is, pound for pound, one of the most well written songs I've heard over the last several years. It just flows so seamlessly and it effortlessly paints a portrait of a girl, lost and wanton, but beautiful in such a way that nearly no (straight) man (or gay woman) can resist her charm.
