Robyn Pays Tribute To Björk And Her Hyperballad

Yesterday, at this years Polar Music Prize Ceremony, Björk was honored with the title award and to further celebrate her work, Bjork was given a tribute by Swedish pop star, Robyn, who performed "Hyperballad." With her pixie voice, Robyn near perfectly captured the softness of this twisted love song and nearly sends Bjork into tears by the end of the song. It's such an awwwww moment and a deserved one for such a beautifully talented artist.

Joi Conquers Led Zeppelin's "Dazed & Confused"

They say one of the marks of a true artist is the ability to take someone else's song or genre and make it your own. If that's true then Joi is an artist in the truest sense of the word, adeptly handling the classic Led Zeppelin song "Dazed & Confused" during a performance at Littlefield in Brooklyn, NY. Accompanied by her boyfriend, Devon Lee, on guitar and the rest of her funky band, Joi rocks this performance and sends the audience into a dark, sexual and mesmerizing fervor. And of course, it doesn't hurt that she uses skintight, holey, gold leggings to help her do so. Mmmmmm ;-)

Since her meteoric and angst ridden debut, Alanis Morissette has always been known for sharing the ups and (many, many) downs of her relationships in her songs but on the track "Unsent" she digs past the emotional pain of her failed relationships and finds a peaceful resolution with her past loves. Born around the idea of writing letters of closure to her many exes, "Unsent" presents itself as one of the most revealing and heartfelt songs I've ever heard in my life. It takes a wise and brave one to look back at their past relationships and accept the strengths and weaknesses of both themselves and their former partners. I can admit that I've made many similar mistakes when it comes to the men I've chosen. I've had my own versions of Matthew(s), Jonathon and Lou and learned many things about myself from each of them. And one day I hope to find the same closure with most of them that Alanis has found with her former beaus.

After Sex Convo With Zoe Saldana & Mila Kunis

Last week I watched this movie with my GGF, formerly known as the blogger, Chaseology, and I was pleasantly blown away at how cute, inclusive and amazing this movie was. After Sex is a film that centers on the conversations that people have with each other after they've had sex. The movie focuses on six couples of all different sexualities and backgrounds and ranges in content from heartfelt drama to hilarious comedy. In the clip above is a segment of the film focusing on the same sex relationship between two roommates, played by Zoe Saldana and Mila Kunis. One is a heterosexual who enjoys getting "head" while the other is questioning her sexuality and likes giving "head." Now I'm quite gay but after watching this clip I can say with all honesty that I would gladly watch these two "explore" their sexuality any day of the week. Besides this steamy bit of hot same-sex action, this movie is filled with great stories, hot bodies, and thought-provoking themes about love, gender and sex. I highly recommend this. Like my father, I'm one of those people that loves mysteries, questions and enigmas. I love seeing the overarching themes of things and putting the pieces together. When I look at people and situations I tend to do the same thing. I try to make the pieces fit. But sometimes I come across situations that don't make sense to me because I can't configure the pieces the way I want to. I can't complete the puzzle or finish the picture. When this happens it rattles my and I agonize over it. But there are some things that I can't fix, things I that I cannot make happen....There are things that I cannot make happen...and the reality is, some things should never be.
